STERNA is a modular, demountable shelter designed with the June 24 earthquake in Venezuela in mind, suitable for both emergency relief and travel or nomadic stays. Its formal design is shaped to look like a flying structure, exploring geometry through lateral structures secured by tension cables that resemble extended wings. The interior is conceived as a completely open, flexible layout, allowing users to adapt and equip the space based on immediate needs. Structurally, the shelter is elevated from the ground by articulated leveling feet with mechanical stabilizers. It integrates functional components such as access ramps, freestanding staircases, and a dedicated, retractable personal hygiene area located at the rear to optimize utility and habitability on any terrain.
