ALE is a gallery space designed to exhibit arm and leg prosthetics that stand out for their unique and highly artistic nature. Inspired by a high-security vault, the space is conceived as a sealed volume where the finish of the structure highlights the value and exclusivity of the exhibited pieces. The architecture consists of exposed concrete walls and slabs. The main entrance features a circular pivoting door made of polished stainless steel, which contrasts with the texture of the surroundings. The space is covered by a metal gable roof, integrating longitudinal skylights and exposed technical track lighting.
The "LEG" pedestal is a protagonist piece for the project. Its materiality combines a frosted tempered glass top with a stainless steel structure, assembled using exposed hardware. The platform's structural system begins with a square steel plate anchored to the floor with reinforcement screws to ensure stability. From this support, a central column elevates the piece to the optimal viewing height. At the upper end, the glass surface is held in place by steel clamps, serving as the base for a central mast that secures the prosthesis to achieve a suspended visual effect.
